Hi! I just wash them to clean them off, let dry in the sun if they are twiggy branches. If I’m making perches than I first wash them with pressure washer and scrub them with F10, allow to sun dry and than bake. If branches are too large for my oven than I allow them to completely dry out in the sun. Also, all the branches and wood I do give them is from trees that have never been sprayed and grow far from any roads or traffic.

Im concerned on what you do to prevent the bugs on the willow branches you make. What process do you have so I know my birds won’t get sick.
